What is the New Opportunities Employee Assistance Program?
New Opportunities is a professional counseling and referral service offered free of charge to you and your household as part of your company's benefits package. New Opportunities is a cooperative program involving Stairways Behavioral Health and Deerfield Behavioral Health. Both organizations bring a great deal of expertise to the program which ensures you receive the highest quality of services available in the area.
Our employee assistance program is a benefit for you and members of your household. You and your household members do not have to pay for evaluations, referrals or brief counseling services as your employer picks up the cost! If you are referred to another provider in the community for services, in most cases you will be able to use your health care benefit coverage.
Is this service confidential?
Yes! The New Opportunities EAP is a strictly confidential service offered on-site or outside the work place. The only time your employer would know about your involvement with our EAP would be if they referred you to us due to problems that have been affecting your on-the-job performance. Even then they would only be informed with your prior written permission.
Who provides the counseling services?
New Opportunities EAP staff has extensive backgrounds or specialties in areas such as family issues, behavioral health, chemical dependency and interpersonal relationships. All are experienced licensed or certified professional therapists or counselors who have successfully assisted people just like you.
